Hey Alan!
Yes, things can still go wrong due to human error.
That’s why it’s so important to have everything double.
And for the price of a 4TB Seagate or WD you can’t take this risk.

I have 6GB of storage (3GB external hard drives and 3GB NAS) and I am almost full… I say almost, but that’ll soon change as I only keep raw files for 3 years or so, and then delete them, but keep every jpeg (sooc and edit), but they take up relatively little space compared to those 50mb raw files!

I have been using My Book and My Passport drives for a long time now. Recently, I added a 4TB Seagate Backup Portable, which I plug in daily. It backs up your computer files, each time it is plugged in as well as giving plenty of storage space. I also have copies of all photos/videos and projects on Passport Drives in my fire safe and bank SDB. I may over save, but I lost an entire year of photos once, by pushing the wrong button.
