Thanks Ana, The X-T1 is also still one of my prefered cameras, I mostly use it manual and with vintage lenses, it’s a great camera I think, and also comes closest to an analog camera from back in the days – weight – size and the dials. The Flip X Back is indeed getting rarer, sometimes you can still find them on eBay, very strange because it’s actually a great product – especially on the X100 and X-E1, E2 all with a fixed LCD.

I think that all of us who buy the X100 always start with the same words… “I fell in love with this camera”. In my case, I did not stop using it from day one. First I shared time with a Sony SLR, then I changed the SLR for an X-E1 and when the X-T1 appeared, it became part of the team. Now the X-T1 and X100 are my faithful companions. I really liked the flip-X-bac, although it seems they no longer sell it now.

Hi Henri-Pierre,
I only used it on the X100 – primarily because it had a fixed LCD – so you have both protection and a waist level viewfinder that way. Yes, I love the FlipXBack, but all my other cameras have a movable LCD, so it makes less sense I guess. Keep in mind that there are a few millimeters added at the back – so your camera gets thicker, with the EVF of the X100 that wasn’t a problem, but I wanted to tell you anyway.

Hi Marc,
You seem to think a lot of the FlipxBac, have you used it on other camera models?
I’m wondering if I’m not going to give it a try on my X-Pro2
