You’re welcome Tone ! In the meantime I sold the Fuji X-T1 and replaced it with an almost new silver E-M1 original. I want to use it with the many old Olympus Zuiko lenses that I have with adapter. So now I shoot entirely with Olympus cameras, and I don’t regret it.

As you know I shoot Olympus – a late comer since about two years. The only other system that tempts me currently is Fuji. I had a choice not long ago to buy a second-hand Fuji body or another Olympus lens. In the end I chose the lens because I enjoy the complete system OM offers, especially it’s size and features. I’m extremely happy with what I have now, reading this has made me content. Thanks.

Photography is fun when your tool (your camera) suits your needs, be it an old or new camera. From that point of view, I totally understand you Andy.
And if you enjoy shooting, you usually take great pictures – and I’ve seen a lot of that on your site !
Keep having fun in it Andy !

Weirdly my current retro setup of a canon 50d and a canon 5d MkII is the combination that has reignited the sheer joy of photography once more instead of chasing the newest tech.

Indeed Mark, you are absolutely right, the out of camera jpegs make people love Fujifilm – if you shoot Raw, that advantage is lost. I absolutely love the compactness of the Olympus cameras, that along with the crop factor gain has made all the difference for me.
Take good care of you, and get well soon!

As for keeping the X-T1, yes, it’s a great camera, and you need a little bit of Fujifilm Inn your life!

As I’ve said a million times, if you shoot raw, then the camera and colour science which makes those cameras different with the jpegs really doesn’t matter.

I am looking at selling a few lenses and possibly cameras when I’m feeling better, I only ever wanted to keep things simple, but I have bought things that I don’t use enough.

Take care, I’ll email you once I’m out of surgery and recovering.

Mark.
