Kiwi or JJC KE-EP13 Long Eyecup – replacement for the Olympus EP-13 Eyecup.
An accessory I highly recommend for the Olympus E-M1 Mark II & III is a long eyecup.
At first, I bought it to make it easier to use my glasses while photographing,
but there are also other benefits, in macro photography for example.
– It helps countering incident stray light,
– you don’t have to push your nose against the camera anymore,
– it improves the contact between eye and camera and is also more comfortable at the same time.
But, even without my glasses on, it makes looking through the viewfinder with long telephoto lenses and in macro close to the ground a lot easier and better.
The original Olympus EP-13 accessory costs about €25, the Kiwi or JJC alternative costs about €15,
the difference is not very big,
however, sometimes the original ones are harder to find.
I would like to mention that the quality of the original Olympus product may be better, since I do not have an original I cannot compare it.
Anyway, my Kiwi eyecup does what it’s supposed to do and I’m very happy with it.

As always, I’m not getting paid to promote this.
These are products that I have selected and purchased myself,
intended to help improve my photography, and therefore in no way intended to stimulate the sale of a product for personal profit.

I bought the equivalent for the X-T3, and while I like it, I had to take it off as it interfered with the tilting screen. It is now a spare!

Yes I understand, with my Olympus cameras the screen moves sideways, so that’s not a problem, unfortunately sideways isn’t always that great either.
