My new Lut Update – PictureFX J.S. Style Wildflowers – is a Film Simulation/Style that gives a color palette and tonal partition specially intended for nature shots, wild flowers, etc
J.S. style stands for the style of Jo Stephen, a North Dorset based photographer.
I could write a lot about her but better if you visit her website. She has a special style, Ethereal nature photography, as she calls it.
But there is more, Cyanotype, Abstract …
Techniques such as ICM – Intentional Camera Movement.
Her photos are like paintings.
Just check out her website and see for yourself : https://jostephen.photography/
The Lut/Cube is designed for the typical color palette style and tonal partition. Rest is to be done in your image editing software. In this case Darktable-Light, but also for Adobe AP AL, Luminar, DaVinci, ON1, Rawtherapee etc.
The tools I used in DT-L are : color contrast, contrast brightness and saturation, exposure, bloom and blurs -> all adjust to taste.

The result is very dependent on the photo used, and the adjustments made in your software program. Which is nice, because that way you can develop your own style.

Thanks Mark ! And I have three more 🙂 Ultimately, the idea is to mimic Jo Stephen’s style a bit, I’m also going to write something about that to apply in Gimp.
