You may Unlock your Seatbelts :-)

If you’ve been working with WordPress for a while, you’ve probably encountered some weird stuff yourself. The last time I did a major overhaul, it was out of sheer necessity—my theme started acting like it had a mind of its own. Turns out, it was a server issue. But by the time I figured that out, I had already spent way too much time trying to piece everything back together.

This time, however, I was well-prepared with a fully tested backup, and the overhaul? Well, that was just because I felt like shaking things up a bit. Hence, the oddities you might have noticed—it’s really just a few clicks, and voilà, everything’s back in place (more or less). But let’s be honest, going a little crazy now and then is fun, even healthy! And, let’s be real, part of the plan was to show that things don’t always have to be perfectly polished, neatly boxed in, or streamlined. Sometimes, you just have to break the mold… and start using RawTherapee! Bet you didn’t see that one coming, huh?

Anyway, I now have a clear vision of what I want to achieve here, so the site will be back to normal pretty soon. Until then, enjoy the ride! 😄

Fasten your Seatbelts !

I’m giving my website, Open Source Photography, a complete overhaul between today and Friday, focusing on the theme and layout. Since I really dislike taking the site offline (and making it inaccessible), I’m the type to Dive right in with full enthusiasm! So, things might get a bit adventurous here on OSP. If you pop by later today or in the next few days, fasten your seatbelts – it could turn into a real rollercoaster ride 😂 Hang on tight… 🚧 🎢 🪂

  1. Good luck 🥹. The new Block Editor that WordPress requires is a bit of a snare. It’s a case of the ‘young Turks’ coming up with a new ingenious way for when site design 😵‍💫. In reality it’s an old MS editor that failed spectacularly years ago. 😂😂😂

    1. Thanks, Ted, but I’m prepared! I have a solid backup of the entire site, and to be sure, I even tested everything on a private site. Everything can be restored in case of real problems—so I’m going all in, no mercy! 😄 That’s why I said, “fasten your seatbelts!” 🚀
