New Lut : PictureFX Channel Swap for IR

The new PictureFX Channel Swap for IR Lut is designed for enhancing photos taken with infrared (IR) filters like 550nm, 590nm, 665nm, and 720nm. Simply load your IR picture into your preferred image editor, apply the PictureFX Lut, and fine-tune settings like White Balance and Contrast for desired effects. Perfect for transforming your IR shots into stunning visuals.

I currently don’t have any IR filters myself, So I had to improvise a bit when making the header picture 🙂 . But for the example pictures below, I used sample pictures from Rob Shea. I thank Rob Shea for making his samples available. By the way, Rob Shea’s website has a wealth of information about Infrared, visit it here.

Above and below are two examples where the PictureFX Channel swap has been applied. The first image is the original shot taken with an IR filter on the camera – or an IR-modified camera, the second image is after applying the LUT in your editor, and finally, the image after minor adjustments with White Balance, Contrast, etc.

So, for those who have IR filters lying around but struggle with editing pictures in your favorite editor, or if you simply want to make things easier for yourself, don’t hesitate to try out the new PictureFX Channel Swap for IR Lut.
