BlueBells

Sunday today, after a long period of time and mostly at home except for work, we went outside for a walk, to a place not far from our home where bluebells grow in the forest. Hyacinthoides non-scripta, in Belgium we say “forest hyacinths” or “boshyacinten” in Dutch.
This tiny flower has the well-known reputation of luring crowds of people to the forests when they are in bloom. The most famous place is the Hallerbos. But I know a place close by, where although not so dense but present, and where I can photograph them.

Camera: Fujifilm X-T10 with K&F Concept adapter and Olympus OM Zuiko MC 50mm f3.5 Macro.
A nice lens for macro and still a usable focal length for a few regular photos.

Then something completely different.
Photography with film (and photography in general) has come to a complete standstill in the last month and since the purchase of the various new types of 35mm film.
Different causes: Covid restrictions, the weather, work, other obligations etc.
As a result, the creation of new film simulations has come to a complete standstill.
But there is also a light at the end of the road, next week is my very last working week before I fully retire. I recently turned 60, and I am one of the lucky few who can retire a little earlier.
A lot of free time you will think, unfortunately, due to the Covid restrictions a lot of work has also been left behind, repairs at home and holiday home, garden works, and a wife at home who is already making lists of chores.
The intention is to start shooting again in May, and I think new simulations should be ready by the end of June early July.

So everything might slow down a bit for a while, but we do our best to bring you new interesting articles in the foreseeable future.
