Field Notes: Leica T + SG Image 50mm – The Final Piece

If you’ve taken a peek at La Gallerie recently, you might’ve seen my latest set featuring The Iron Gate, captured with the SG Image 28mm on the Leica T. That was just a warm-up.

Behind the scenes, I’ve been quietly assembling a complete set of SG Image lenses for the Leica T: 12mm, 25mm, 35mm, and now finally — the 50mm. This last addition is about to get its own little moment in the spotlight, with a short hands-on review coming soon.

But that’s not all. I’m also preparing a proper field test with the full quartet. Same camera, same conditions, four focal lengths — and hopefully some meaningful insight into how this budget-friendly lineup holds up in real-world use.

Until then, here’s a quick teaser: the Leica T paired with the SG Image 50mm. It might be the most traditional combo of the bunch, but I have a feeling it won’t be the most predictable.
