OSP Magazine July – August

This Magazine :

This OSP magazine is intended for the months July and August, yes two months!
I wrote before that I have a tennis elbow, I already had the necessary pills and ointments, but little improvement. So I have to rest my elbow because it still hurts terribly or else I’ll just keep typing and replying. I started physiotherapy and a lot more resting should do the trick, at least that’s what I’ve been told.
So I’ll bite the bullet and hopefully things will get better soon, meanwhile I’ll try to post pictures to my gallery.

But now on to the content,

Fujifilm News:

The new X-H2s !

The new X-H2s is out, and it’s great, at least that’s what I’m hearing from it.
I have two Fuji X-H1 cameras myself, and whatever is said about it in the past, I think it is a super great camera – Mark from https://onecameraonelens.com/ told me that he thought it was a disadvantage that the exposure correction dial was missing, which was not such a problem for me then, but in retrospect I have to agree with him – but besides that it’s a great camera.
However, now that I’ve seen the new X-H2s – Fuji, where are those dials ???
the shutter speed dial and ISO dial that Fuji cameras are so praised for ?
Fujifilm has clearly dropped a stitch here – for me this is a real deal breaker, the dedicated dials were the reason why i switched to fujifilm in the first place.
I found an interesting review written by Ivan Joshua Loh,
he is a professional Fuji photographer, let’s see what he wrote about it :

More about the X-H2s on the Fujifilm website:

Well, there’s a lot more to this camera than the 7 stops IBIS alone, but isn’t that great already ! who needs a tripod anymore ?
Discover the other features on the Fujifilm website here.

Well, it seems to have turned out to be a great professional camera, and the adjustments made to the controls are probably meant to persuade non-Fuji users.
The question is whether we, real die-hard Fujifilm users, also like this?

Lens Mount Adapter “need to know”:

Many people think that with an adapter you can put any lens on any camera, but is that the case? well, in many cases yes, but I still regularly come across questions from people who have focus problems with an adapter between their lens and camera.
If the adapter connects the lens and camera, then it should work, right?
Well, that’s what this page is about – Click here to read more.

Updating your Olympus Camera Firmware without Olympus Workspace:

You have an Olympus Camera and you would like to update the firmware, that’s easy isn’t it?
Not completely, with an Olympus this has to be done via the OM Workspace software – and therefore only via Windows 10/11 or Mac v10.13-10.15, 11-12
In addition, the update does not always work flawlessly,
What then ?

A dirty lens is unsharp, maybe even unusable, isn’t it ?

The Dirty Lens

A lens that is dirty or has dust in it is not sharp, the dust is visible on the picture results or worse – the lens is completely unusable and worthless ! is that assumption correct ?
